Everything’s Bigger in Texas #52513

Texas is well-known for the “Everything’s Bigger in Texas” phenomenon.  Possibly because we have so much room to build any silly thing we can think of, we tend to make ’em just plain bigger.  Or maybe it has nothing to do with sheer acreage, but more about raw Texas Pride (and swagger) that goes hand-in-hand with living in The Lone Star State that causes us to produce massive “anything” that suits our fancy.

This rule of thumb applies universally to just about everything in these parts except for that silly Eiffel Tower in Paris, for which we should be ashamed.  If it takes me 20 minutes to find the blasted thing — it’s too small.  OK?  Now where was I?

Oh yeah…

Whatever the source of this condition, you will find the unusual, unique and larger-than-life manifestations along Texas 2-lane highways (and superhighways) if you keep your eyes open.

On the road from Granbury to Acton, you’ll see this fairly large cowboy boot sign on your right.
